Mr. Murphy has been in senior level positions for over fifteen years and has spent the past ten years focusing on real estate development, construction and acquisitions. His diverse background consists of Executive level positions as well as sitting on multiple boards.  Russ has started as well as invested in multiple nonprofits, held consulting positions with small to mid-size companies.  Russ has been involved in acquiring small businesses and invests in startups.  He has spent time working with companies such as Aspen Heights, Tyson Foods, JB Hunt, Alternative Design Mfg. and Simmons Foods, Inc.

In 2005, Mr. Murphy started his real estate career in Northwest Arkansas as Chief Operating Officer for York Construction, Inc., developing land for residential use, and building single family homes and small commercial projects. The average project for York Construction, Inc. ranged from $1,000,000 to $16,000,000 in value.

 In 2006, Mr. Murphy co-founded a special purpose entity, Aspen Heights, which specializes in the development and construction of high end residential student housing and served as the Chief Operating Officer for almost 9 years.  Aspen Heights focused on developing and constructing gated subdivisions with up to 200+ single family homes and duplexes, a 10,000 square foot club house, and resort style amenities. Aspen Heights has continued to flourish over the years and is now a multifaceted real-estate development company with revenues exceeding $300,000,000. 

Additionally, Aspen Heights has diversified into conventional multifamily projects ranging from garden style apartments up to a 58 story high rise in Downtown Austin, TX.  Since inception in 2006, Aspen Heights has constructed over $1 billion across the country and has become a premier brand by delivering innovative products and creating unique customer service experiences. Russ currently holds the title of  Co-founder/Partner and serves as an advisor to the current Executive Leadership Team at Aspen Heights.

Russ earned his B.S.B.A. in Management and Human Resource Management from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and is certified as a Professional in Human Resources.
